 Hunt
Cougar!
Cougar or Mountain Lion hunts take place on a combination of private and public
land right here in Pecos, New Mexico. 7-10 day hunts can be booked in advance, or available hunters can be
placed 'on call' so that when a fresh kill is located, or a large track is
found, we'll give you a call.
Well trained big game hounds will be used to locate track,
trail scent, and tree mountain lions. Snow is always desirable, however,
our hounds are capable of dry ground work.
This is an amazing hunt for archers, hand gun hunters, and
lever action fanatics. You will have the opportunity to watch some truly
amazing hounds line out track, and if you are lucky enough, have a tree
encounter with a very large, very unhappy predator.
Mountain Lion hunting can be challenging, and sometimes physically
demanding. You & your guide, and his hounds will sometimes need to cover a lot
of ground. Cougar tags are available over the counter, and must be purchased at
least 2 days before hunting. So, if the bay of
