It's no secret that New Mexico consistently produces Pope & Young class Trophy Elk.  We are a hot spot for trophy hunting on public land.  Game management, access to small tracts of private land, and favorable terrain is why so many archers choose Bar X Bar guide services.  Just like you, our guides are bow hunters, we know what it takes to send an arrow on its way.

Archery Elk Hunting on public land can be much more challenging than our private ranch hunts.  You & your guide will need to cover a lot more ground...and that's ground over 8,500 feet above sea level.  Either sex tags are available on a draw basis, guaranteed tags can be acquired for an additional fee.  So if you're an avid archer and in good physical condition contact us for package cost, licensing fees, and application information.

Archery elk season is typically the first three weeks in September.  We hunt units 44 & 45 here in the Pecos area of New Mexico.
